Immediately, I can see the wheels turning as you try to figure out why I have called this post "The Lost Days," so let me explain.

All during our stay in Prague, we were under the impression that after checking out of our hotel, we would be in the city for an entire day before getting on our train to Berlin. You can imagine our surprise, then, when we checked the tickets again and discovered that we were leaving at 12, a mere hour after checkout. Our new leavetime threw a significant wrench in our plans, as we had put off a few last-minute sights in order to fill the time. Oh well; I guess those will have to wait till next time.

On the train we meet Christian, a neurologist and a Berlin native. Not only does he know where our hotel is, but he also tells us of some must see sights in Berlin. He tells us of some great places to eat as well, and when we try one, it is indeed wonderful. All in all, the train ride flew by thanks to Christian.

However, when we arrive in Berlin, I can tell that something is off. I'm just not feeling well. Nicole feels fine, though, so we decide to indulge in our free dinner (thank you again living social), then head to bed early. In this four star hotel, though, dinner is no laughing matter. we both have the salad and pork chops with green beans and potatoes, and quickly realize that it has been quite some time since we have had vegetables of any kind (i think Europeans are partial to starches, but maybe that's just me).

We head to bed, and sleep for 11 hours, which leads me to believe that we may have pushed ourselves a bit hard in Prague. However, this morning Nicole is not feeling well either, so we know that we will have to take the day easy. We take breakfast (the first with fruit since we have been in Europe; we may have been vitamin deficient), then proceed to take the day off. First a sauna visit, then a walk around the city, then a nap, then back out for dinner and the Germany/Netherlands game.

All in all, we are sad that we had to waste a couple of days, but by the end of the day we feel much better. Neither of us will be able make up ground tomorrow, but we will at least be able to enjoy some tours and some history. We are just thankful that we were sick in what is the nicest hotel we have stayed in yet. Hopefully we can return to the rest of our trip rejuvenated.
